Croatia launched Operation Flash (from 1 May until 3 May 1995) and Operation Storm (from 4 August until 7 August 1995), and occupied western and central parts of the RSK. Unoccupied eastern parts of the RSK, now organized as the Republic of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Syrmia, were incorporated peacefully into Croatia on 15 January 1998.
